Suonen / water pipes

The several centuries old water pipes above Grächen promise beautiful hiking experiences. The 4 Suonen give an idea of how the Grächen mountain people irrigated their fields and meadows, or still do today.

The paths along the “Eggeri”, “Chilcheri”, “Drieri” and “Bineri” are surrounded by the extensive mountain forest around Grächen.
Therefore, they are particularly pleasant to discover in the summer, as the paths are nicely shaded.

Along the two longest Suonen “Eggeri” and “Chilcheri”, installations and water features were recently installed under the name of Magic Water. These invite relaxation and fun for the whole family.
